Description

Mohamed Alexander Bourner was born in Kenya in 1995 and raised by his parents in London and Sussex. At the age of 15, he endured a vicious racially motivated hate crime that left him with severe injuries, including paralysis on one side and significant brain damage, requiring a titanium plate to stabilize his head. Despite these challenges, he persevered through sheer resilience. Turning to poetry as a means of grappling with his trauma, Bourner found solace and a platform for expression. His poetry serves as a medium for him to engage with the world and articulate his experiences, both dark and uplifting. Through his work, he aims to offer support to others facing adversity, fostering hope, humor, and a deeper understanding of the enduring impact of senseless violence on individuals.

All poems written by Mo Bourner.
